First of all, I want to start off by saying that I am glad you are here. It takes many of us a long time to recognize that we need to reach outside of ourselves to truly heal. There is not a linear path to healing after Sexual Abuse. When it occurs as a child there are even more complications that throw you off throughout life. This does not have to be permanent. In fact, I am here to tell you that it SHOULDN’T be.

Congratulations!

The very fact that you are on this page tells me that you are ready to take the leap to change things. The stories that bring us all here are different. The journey it takes to heal after sexual abuse will be a little different for each of us also. However, we are stronger together. We can stand firm when voyaging this new path to finding our voice and our freedom.

It doesn’t always become clear how much was actually stolen from us until we realize it is missing. The burden of loss can be overwhelming and trap you in a place that inhibits healing.

Good news!

The hard part is realizing what has been stolen. We can now begin to repair and heal.

You are stronger than they have lead you to believe. Lets begin to write our stories. Do not feel like you need to get through this all at once. Make sure you are in a safe place. Give yourself permission to pause, even before you start. Take your time. Walk through the steps. Breathe. Pause. Take care of yourself.
